Gabi Balint: "It was a useful match"

The head coach of the National Team of Moldova, Gabi Balint, after the victory in the friendly match with the Squad of the foreign players performing in the National Division (2:0) pointed out that such games will continue to be played, because they are useful, both for the coaching staff and for football players themselves.

- Despite the fact that we were victorious in a friendly match, the victory means a lot for us. First and foremost, I would like to thank the Football Federation of Moldova, which allowed me to meet with the players and set up such a match. I will also would like to thank to FC Zimbru, which provided excellent conditions for the match. And, of course, I am grateful to the clubs that let their players to play this match. 

For me this match was very useful. I managed to get acquainted with the players even closer. We have good players, but still there is a lot of work to be done. The match turned out to be useful not only for me but for the players as well. They felt the importance of the match, what it means to go on the field in a T-shirt of the National team. They have pluged into this atmosphere. We will invite some teama, maybe from Romania, because these test matches are very useful for the team. I know that for many of them it was a difficult match, knowing they are watched by the coaches and fans who expect a lot from them.

- Which team did you like best from the first half, or the second?

- There was no great difference between the teams. I made two well-balanced teama. In the first half it was warmer. In the second half the game became more dynamic. On the field went out really fast players. I would like to point out that there were positive elements, in both the first and the seond halves. It is all right, because many of them played for the first time together.

- You said there are players whom you follow. Can you tell us their names?

- Sorry, but I can not. It would be unfair towards other players, who will not be mentioned. In the future you will see the players. I have already said that there is no big difference between the good players of the Moldavian championship and the ones playing abroad. It's just that local players have no experience of performances in such games. They are still struggling with emotions.

- How many players from the current roster will go to Austria?

- I can not say for sure. Tomorrow I'm going to the Federation, to send telegrams to the abroad players, and only then I will be able to tell who will travel to Austria. I realized that in order to have a team of 22 football players, I need to call out 30-40 players. I want to meet with the players at the training camp in Vadul-lui-Vodă, to spend at least some trainings before the match on May, 26th. We have to play two very important matches.

- By what criteria were chosen the captains?

- Gafin was selected because he is the captain of his team. Besides, I really liked the way he directs the actions of his team in the championship. As he talks on the football field. As regards Petru Hvorostyanov, I wanted to have a captain from Zimbru, who provided such good conditions for us.

- What can you say about the goalkeepers?

- I said that we have a problem with the goalkeeper, because Namașco is not playing, so I wanted to give a chance for another keeper. The goalkeepers played well, have not made any mistakes. Copelciuc can not be blamed for the missed two goals. We have the coach Adrian Bogdan, who is responsible for the goalkeepers.
