We bring you the interview of Gheorghe Ovseannicov and Maxim Hovanschi. ¶
- Gheorghe, could you comment on the 4th round game against Iskra-Stal, as the team captain?
- This is the second game (I mean the match against Sfintul Gheorghe) that should have ended with our victory. We dominated the entire game but, unfortunately, our team has problems with taking scoring chances. We conceded a silly goal in the game against Iskra and could not beat the opponents though I am sure that we were better.
- How will this refereeing situation affect your team mates in the upcoming games?
- We haven't run of patience for now. I don't know for how long. We still believe that referees will change their attitude and games will be held according to the according to Fair Play rules.
- As for your call-up to the national team, what mood are you in?
- I am always happy to be called up to the national team, especially with this coach. Last time (in the game against Cyprus) I was not only called up but also trusted with a spot on the first team. Of course, it is nice to be trusted and justify this trust with a goal. The call-up to the EURO 2012 qualifiers against Finland and Hungary is just as important to me. I think that these games can bring us the greatest number of points. Knowing our team, I can say that we can beat these opponents.
- Maxim, what do you feel after the call-up to the national team?
- I am in a competitive mood and would like to have a good start, because it is the first game... The start will determine how we will play later. We have worthy opponents, both Portugal and Albania are good sides. We will play the first game home and I think this will help us. We will try to come out with our best performance away to perform not worse than our opponents.
- How did you react to the news about the call-up and what result do you expect?
- I was very glad to receive it and felt like a footballer who is worth watching and deserving a call-up to the team. There is no sense in making forecasts but I think that we will perform decently. I'd like to show my best to get call-ups to the national team in the future.
