Sergei Chiseliov: "We hope Sheriff’s management will agree to play the match Sheriff - Olimpia in Bălţi"

FC Olimpia Vice-President Serghei Kiseliov is requesting FC Sheriff management.

Dear management of the football club Sheriff!

In this National Division season, two of the three matches scheduled between Olimpia and Sheriff, for various reasons, were played in Tiraspol. The fate decided that the match of the 26th round of the National Division to be played on the arena in Tiraspol.

We considre it an injustice towards the fans from Bălţi, for whome our team is acctually playing football, not to see the Moldavian champion for a whole year!

Fortunately, FC Sheriff and its fans had a great season, the team showing the best results in its history. Sheriff fought till the end for the Europe League play-off matches. In those moments, hours, days you have been supported by the whole country including the football fans from Bălţi. Together we have supported and encouraged you. Your request to postpone the match between Olimpia and Sheriff for a period of six months has been accepted and understood. To be honest, it was not a simple decision for us. But we and our fans were aware that we were taking a correct decision, because your team was defending  the honor of Moldova.

Unfortunately, the unexpected cold spring, did not allow to perform the postponed match in Bălţi. For our city, where each 40th person goes to the matches, the decision to play the postponed match in Tiraspol was a tragedy.

On behalf of the football club Olimpia and all the football fans from Bălţi we require for your consent to play the match of the 26th round of the National Division between Sheriff and Olimpia in Bălţi and not in Tiraspol.

Today is your turn to prove understanding and cooperation. The football fans from Bălţi want to see their country's champion and the best football team from Moldova in their native city!
