Since 1991 - Olimpia (Bălţi)
In 2009 our club in 2009 turns 25 years old.
In 1984 Moldova was already given the right to include three teams in the second league of the USSR championship. Thus, the team Zarea Bălţi reached the competition.
The Zarea successor 1991 became the surrent FC Olimpia.
The first Zarea coach was Ivan Danilianţ - the coach who later led the national team of Moldova.
The team's roster included such famous players as Nicolae Cebotari (today the General MFF Secretary), Alexandru Ma'iura (today - the second coach of the Russian club Rubin, who was also the head coach of the National Team of Moldova); Igor Tunicov, the defender, who later successfully played for Nistru Chişinău and others.
